About me

I have been a rubber stamper for 16 years, and only now do I really feel like I am “getting it”. Thanks to Stampin’ Up! I was bored for about ten years without even realising. I was using inferior product and blaming my lack of creativity. I feel so ripped off! But believe me, I am making up for it now!

It all started 16 years ago when my sister came visiting from South Africa, and bought me some stamps and ink pads, with a few embossing powders. We had such fun that holiday but when I think back to the cards we were making I cringe! It’s kind of like remembering the hair you wore in the 80’s! I began my business a year later, importing a range of stamps from South Africa.

The company I was dealing with did not bring anything new out in about 10 years, or if they did, their customer service was so poor that I never heard about them! Then I started organising the SA Stamping & Scrapbooking fairs around 5 years ago, and that kept me busy for a while.

I was on the brink of closing my business, never to stamp again. I had come to the conclusion that whilst I was a very good teacher, I was a terrible stamper. It was only when I discovered Stampin’ Up! that I realised I was actually not the one to blame!

I can’t wait to share some of my ideas and tips with you over the coming months, and hopefully years.
